Belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family, a low calorie nutrient dense summer squash is zucchini. It is also called courgette. Zucchini has got superb ingredients like vitamins A, C and K plus minerals like calcium, potassium, copper, fibres, antioxidants, folate etc. Hence, it is believed that consuming zucchini would be highly beneficial for our health. Being highly versatile, zucchini can be mixed with salads, soups, baked foods etc.

Helps in weight loss:

There are possibilities of weight loss in us when we consume zucchini that is rich in water, fibres but low in calories. Intake of zucchini would make us feel full for a longer duration and by this we would not have food cravings etc. Overeating would be avoided.

Our gut health would be supported by consuming zucchini that has got both soluble as well as insoluble fibres. We could be free from constipation issues as insoluble fibre would add bulk to stools. Soluble fibres present in zucchini would promote a well balanced microbiome.
