Gold prices have declined today in Chennai after several days of fluctuations in the market. The price of 22-carat gold jewellery has dropped significantly, giving some relief to buyers.
According to the latest market rates, the price of 22-carat gold has decreased by ₹1,200 per sovereign and is currently being sold at ₹1,19,760 per sovereign in Chennai. The price per gram has also fallen by ₹150 and is now ₹14,970 per gram.
Silver prices have also seen a decline today. The price of silver has reduced by ₹10 per gram, bringing the rate to ₹290 per gram. Meanwhile, one kilogram of silver is being sold at ₹2.90 lakh.
Market experts say that international market trends, global economic conditions, and fluctuations in demand continue to influence gold and silver prices in India.
