In the year 1973, A small Maligai Shop (மளிகைக் கடை) in Kalasapakkam, Tamilnadu, was started by our beloved father Mr PG Jayavel in the name of “Jayavel Maligai”, since its foundation thousands of families had been buying regularly for their daily needs. Though the shop was away from the main bazaar, it was able to pull the crowd from miles away. Consumers from villages all around visited and purchased from the shop for the quality, trust and price.

The founder had found the ways to source the right product directly from the farmers, producers and bulk dealers. He ensured to source the products with high quality and at the right price. There were times in the past when people along with their families waited for hours during the celebrations of Diwali and Pongal just to buy their needs from our shops. One can say their celebrations starts at our shop much before they start celebrating at their homes.

The same continued for years and the shop evolved as JB Traders, which was mainly involved in Jaggery, Sugarcane, Paddy and Rice. JB Traders’ Mr Jayavel had become a brand among the farmers and consumers across the villages around Kalasapakkam.

The heritage carried forward till the present day and even now farmers and consumers around Kalasapakkam vouch for the quality, trust and privilege they enjoy in dealing with us. In the present day, JB Traders and JB Soft System a technology enterprise combined their expertise and interest to form JB Agro Foods. Thus deciding to bring quality, natural and healthy products from dedicated suppliers and distribute them to consumers via abled people networks.
