The price of gold in Chennai has increased by ₹560 per sovereign, continuing its upward trend to reach an unprecedented level.
On Wednesday, gold prices were high, but slightly decreased on Thursday. However, today (Friday) the price has risen sharply again. A sovereign (8 grams) of gold is now being sold for ₹94,720, an increase of ₹560. Likewise, the price per gram has increased by ₹70, bringing the rate to ₹11,840 per gram.
Similarly, silver prices have also increased, with a rise of ₹3 per gram. Silver is now priced at ₹183 per gram and ₹1,83,000 per kilogram.
It is noteworthy that gold had dropped to ₹91,200 per sovereign on November 18, but has since remained on a rising trend.
