On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, gold prices surged dramatically! This Friday morning, May 10, 2024, the cost of gold reached Rs. 1240per sovereign, marking a substantial increase. The price per gram also rose to Rs. 155.
Previously, one sovereign was valued at Rs. 54,160.00, while a gram cost Rs. 6,770.00. Now, with the escalated rates, a sovereign stands at Rs. 57,920.00, and a gram at Rs. 7,240.00 for pure gold (24 K).
In comparison, the price of silver has also seen an uptick. A kilo of silver is now priced at Rs. 91,200.00, with each gram fetching Rs. 91.20.
The surge in gold prices on Akshaya Tritiya reflects the significance and demand for the precious metal on this auspicious day.
